There's a new color added to the five. Yellow will now be an official Draekard color.
This decision was made to stray from the typical chromatic colors used for dragons. The original five are still around, of course, and the yellows have always been around too. They're more elusive than most of the others though.
Their magic element is Light or Darkness.
They have feathered wings with two digits, as opposed to a blue's one. They're also the same size as blues, with shorter, feathered tails(think phoenix). The feathers of yellows also have a tendency to be boldy marked, as well..like hawk wings or sparrow wings.
Their clans are Phoenix, Tempest and Topaz. There's a reason behind only having three clans, as opposed to five.. but it's a secret .

As for the hiatus.. it's still in effect, and it may possibly be permanent, unless I find the time and want to be more active in Draekard activities that do not relate to the storyline. Yes, the comic is being more seriously planned then before. I've no idea when things will really get going though.

Anyway, that's about all I have to add. ^_^

It's another one of these community..thingies, and this one's for the draekard lovers scattered about DA

I thought this would be a nifty idea for those who do like my Draekards as it doesn't exclude non-roleplayers. For those new to the scene, the Draekards popularity came from a roleplay I used to run called Land of the Furry Dragons or FDRP. It's closed if any were wondering.
Draekard are, by the way, a species of furry dragon I created back in late 1998. They're above average sized beasts, coming in five colors: Red, Black, Blue, Green and White. Each color has it's special abilities, differences, and such. More information can be found on the webpage, now that I readded the missing page (click the website link, then find the link called The Draekards).

If you want to join, here's how... it's simple really. Leave me a note either here or at my DA gallery: [link] and I will include you in the members list. Once you're a member, you can display the ~draekards icon anywhere you wish. This is, of course, optional. Don't feel you have to post the club's icon in every single place.. signature, journal, etc...

Why join?: To share artwork, stories and meet others who like the draes! Eventually I'll schedule real-time roleplay sessions and contests once the members list gets to a suitable amount for these things. For those more interested in discussion, there is now a livejournal community: [link]

Reasons not to join?: If you join communities in an attmept to be the person on DA in the most clubs. You hate my draes or myself or you haven't a clue what Draekards are, nor care to know.

Uploading: I'm the only one with the power to submit art to this community. If you want your work shared up on this site, send me a note with which one(s) you wish to submit, including a description, if one's not there. I don't write description for the pictures here. Pictures not uploaded on DA are acceptable submissions, providing you are a member of Deviantart, and this community, of course . +Faving artwork is no longer done here.
